AboutJapanese Mapl Trees
The most elegant tree in the yard. Japanese maples are prized for their delicate, lacy foliage, sculptural branching, and absolutely brilliant fall color — and they stay small enough to fit almost anywhere you want a focal point.
Frequently asked questions
How big do Japanese maples get?
Most landscape varieties reach 10–20 feet tall and wide at maturity. Dwarf varieties stay much smaller — perfect for containers.
Do Japanese maples prefer sun or shade?
Most prefer part shade or dappled light. Direct afternoon sun in hot climates can scorch their delicate leaves.
How fast do Japanese maples grow?
Japanese maples are slow growers, typically adding 6–12 inches of height per year.
