How to Use MitoGrow™ Bloom & Bed
Use this for flowers and non-woody plants in beds or containers. Apply at planting and throughout the season.
New Planting (In-Ground)
- Dig a hole 2x as wide as the root ball, same depth.
- Loosen surrounding soil to help roots spread.
- Backfill halfway, then apply Bloom & Bed per label rate and mix into top 2–3 inches.
- Place plant, finish backfilling, and lightly firm soil.
- Water deeply: soak the root zone slowly until soil is fully saturated (not puddling).
- Mulch 2–3 inches to retain moisture.
Container Planting
- Use a quality potting mix with drainage.
- Mix Bloom & Bed into the top layer after planting (don’t over-concentrate at roots).
- Water until it drains from the bottom; repeat when top 1–2 inches dry out.
Ongoing Care
- Reapply at the start of each season and every 4–6 weeks during active growth.
- After stress (heat, drought, heavy rain), apply and water deeply.
- Watering rule: deep, infrequent watering is better than shallow daily watering. Aim for moist—not soggy—soil.
- Deadhead flowers regularly to promote continuous blooms.
Tips
- Apply in the morning or evening to avoid evaporation.
- Always water after applying to activate nutrients.
- Watch for overwatering—yellow leaves and soggy soil are warning signs.
