Fresco® Apricot Coneflower FAQs
1. How big does the Fresco® Apricot Coneflower grow?
This variety stays relatively compact at 2-2.5 ft. tall and 1-2 ft. wide, making it perfect for small gardens, borders, and containers.
2. Does this coneflower attract pollinators?
Yes! Bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators love the nectar-rich blooms. Plus, when the flowers fade, seed heads provide food for birds in the fall and winter.
3. How much sun and water does it need?
This coneflower thrives in full sun (at least 6 hours daily) and is quite drought-tolerant once established. Water regularly at first, but once it’s settled, it can handle dry spells like a champ.
4. Can I grow it in a container?
Absolutely! Its compact size makes it ideal for pots and containers. Just make sure the container has good drainage, and use well-draining soil to keep roots happy.
5. Do I need to deadhead the flowers?
Deadheading (removing spent flowers) will encourage more blooms throughout the season. However, if you leave some seed heads in the fall, they’ll provide food for birds and add winter interest.
