Frequently asked questions
How fast do pine trees grow?
Most pines are moderate-to-fast growers, adding 12–24 inches of height per year. Some varieties grow even faster.
How big do pine trees get?
It varies enormously. Dwarf pines stay under 10 feet, while species like white pine and loblolly can reach 70–100 feet at maturity.
Do pine trees lose their needles?
All pines drop their oldest needles each year, but they're never bare. New needles replace old, so the tree stays green year-round.
